Director of Nutrition Services

Christine is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the state of Illinois. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from Northern Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Wellness from Benedictine University, where she also completed her ACEND-accredited dietetic internship. She is currently the dietitian for the Association for Individual Development, a non-profit organization that provides support for individuals with physical, developmental, intellectual and mental health challenges. Her job entails performing nutrition assessments on at-risk clients, educating clients about proper nutrition as well as their own specific dietary needs, and training both new and current staff on important nutrition topics.

Christine has experience in various aspects of nutrition and wellness, including but not limited to: overweight and obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, kidney disease, hyper-/hypothyroidism, irritable bowel disorder (IBD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), food allergies, emotional eating and eating disorders, meal planning, and drug/nutrient interactions. She takes a client-centered approach in her counseling, focusing on the specific needs of each individual. She provides a non-judgmental, positive and encouraging atmosphere for her clients and uses goal-based nutrition therapy to help clients achieve their desired results.
